The Blend instantly transforms your acoustic/electric instrument into an instrument that mixes your internal piezo pickup with the Myers Microphone Pickup. Installs in seconds, without surgery or any permanent modifications!
The Blend's preamp was specifically designed to have a multitude of purposes. When inserted into your acoustic electric instrument's end-pin, it safely secures itself, utilizing the preamp's 1/4" plug and locking it in. This provides two inputs to activate the powered preamp AND your internal pickup system that came with your instrument, enhancing and broadening the sound beautifully.
No permanent modifications necessary!
One instrument cord operates the Myers Pickup and the other operates your internal built-in piezo pickup, independently of each other. This preserves the integrity of each circuitry, giving you the control to blend and mix by using the volume controls of each system. An amplifier/P.A. that has two separate inputs is needed for operation of the Myers Blend. The "Blend" is fully equipped with an internally powered, active preamp to produce the richest sound your instrument can deliver! A Lithium battery power-source is included and pre-installed. Each pickup is meticulously tested before delivery.
Myers Microphone Tensioner (MMT)
Each Blend comes equipped with a Myers Microphone Tensioner (MMT) that easily keeps the Flexible Micro-Gooseneck safely in place, without damaging your instrument in any way. The tensioner is installed at our facility so it is ready to use as soon as you open the box and can simply be adjusted to fit your instrument's specific type with its own characteristics, size and shape. The complete Blend Pickup System can be installed and removed in seconds.
The Blend puts you in control of your instrument's sweet spot. Never again will you have to settle for the stationary pickup system that came with your instrument. The adjustment of the Myers Flexible Micro-Gooseneck element is absolutely unlimited! Place it on the inside or the outside of your instrument in seconds with absolutely no damaging hardware of any kind. The Blend attaches and detaches quickly and easily!
The Blend's Flexible Micro-Gooseneck can be placed discretely, right above your fret board. With the mic pointing into your instrument's sound hole, you have an almost invisible appearance while, at the same time, producing the fullest natural sound your instrument was designed to create!
With the Blend, musicians can now finally hear the carving attack of their instrument strings as the Myers' blends, mixes and weaves the internal and the external notes together. The Blend comes with a removable windscreen that can be removed if desired for different venues.
