After miking my cajon through the back port hole with a condenser mic, I found an easier, more efficient and superior way to get the sought-after highs and lows I so desperately needed. The Myers "Grip" cajon pickup gave me exactly what I wanted. I mounted the percussion pickup inside my cajon, centered off the left side, plugged the 1/4" cable and ran though our P.A. and got the rich balanced sound I have been looking for.
