The Myers Feather works perfect for me because the pre-amp mounts right on the strap, rather than my belt, making switching instruments easy. The Myers Pickup seems as close to the real thing as I have tried.

BIO:

I have played the banjo professionally but mostly for fun for over 50 years. My greatest thrills were having the privilege of getting to sit in with the likes of Frank Wakefield, Van Morrison, Peter Rowan, Bela Fleck and Arlo Guthrie. Most memorable was in 1968, when I got to play with The Greenbriar Boys when Bob Dylan was in the audience!!! I spent part of the summer of '69 on tour with Frank Wakefield, but playing music has been pretty much for fun ever since.

I am now living in the Reno, NV area. My current band, Suspect Terrane, does have a FaceBook page, but there's not much happening there lately. A show we did in 2018 at the Bowers Bluegrass Festival, in Washoe Valley NV, however, can be found on YouTube.

Between a worldwide pandemic and a recent serious health issue with one of our members, our group is pretty much side-lined at the moment. Over the last five years, besides doing The Bowers Mansion Bluegrass Festival , we had been playing regularly at local events, venues and clubs in the Reno and Carson City area as well as Virginia City.
